The idea of “red heads” or characters with red hair is a curious one when as it pertains to media, especially film and TV. Red heads or “gingers” have been the butt of many jokes for as long as I can remember. From the whole argument that they have no souls (which is terrible and very unfunny by the way), to them being undesirable simply because of the shade of their hair (the dreaded red-headed stepchild reference).
